We declare and establish this Constitution to preserve and secure the principles of our faith and to govern the Church in an orderly manner while pursuing its ministries. This Constitution will guide this Church in conducting Christ's ministries locally, nationally, and across all boarders as He leads.
1. Name
This Church Shall be known as Faith Family Ministries, a Southern Baptist Church, located at 1233 Highway 92 Silsbee Texas.
2. Purpose Statement
To bring people to Jesus and membership in his family, to develop them to Christ like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the Church and life mission in the world in order to Magnify the wonderful name of God. To be a church whose purpose is to be Christ like in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality and possessions to the Lordship of Christ.
3. Core Values
The Holy Bible is the Inspired, Infallible Word of God and is the foundation for our core values. This Church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of "Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in A. D. 2000. We band ourselves together as of baptized believers in Christ Jesus personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation and new life to the backslidden and lost mankind. The Ordinances of this Church are Believers Baptism and the Lords Supper.
4. Relationships
The Government of this Church is vested in the Pastor and Members who compose it. It is subjected to the control of no other ecclesiastical body, but it recognizes and sustains the obligation of mutual council and cooperation which are common among Baptist Churches. In so far as it is practical, this Church will cooperate with and support the Association, The Southern Baptist of Texas State Convention and The Southern Baptist Convention nationally.
