Within about 2 weeks time, Charlie Poe has lost the hearing in one ear and the hearing in the other ear seems to be doing getting poorer. Pleae lift him up that God would heal this and/or help charlie to use it as his testimony.
This morning his wife, Mary fell on the ice on the steps and is spending the night in the hospital in Marion, under observation. She cracked or bruised some ribs and punchered a lung. The doctors think the lung will heal on its own. The line is, when it rains it pours.

Also, remember Aloha, she is continuing with the therapy, but is still having lots of pain and discomfort.
====================================
Please Pray for Carl Redmon Sr.: He rolled the propane truck that he was driving and might have broken his neck.

Please keep Darwin Hiatt in your prayers. Following the motorcycle wreck, the drs worked on he aorta. It seems to have come loose and is in need of repair again. He is experiencing some pain with it, which is why it was checked last night in the local ER. He seems to be having some difficulty getting referred back to his surgeon (there were so many, who knows which one to contact). His daughter is trying to get it sorted out, but it is not easy. Betty Stith, mother of one of our members, had a biopsy today to see if her cancer has returned. Please lift her up also.
Thanks for your prayers,

A man, Jerry, who works with Jinnette is threatening suicide. He claims to be a satan worshiper. Jinnette shared the plan of salvation with him. We are praying for the Lord's intervention, that Jerry would realize his need for Jesus Christ as his Savior and than in turn he would find a productive purpose for his life, that he would share Jesus with those around him. It is too big a task for us, please pray for Jerry to realize his need and relationship with Jesus.

Libby is in Howard Hospital (one of our local hospitals) in probably one of the final stages of terminal cancer. Please lift her up, asking for God's will in her life.
====================================
Also please lift up Lori, she had a procedure on Tuesday and has some diet and other issues that need to be changed.
====================================
Please remember Aloha, as she is scheduled for rotator cuff surgery on Tuesday.
Thanks for praying,
Praying for you and yours,

The dr. said Aloha's surgery went well. They use a shoulder block, much like a spinal block. Her arm is in a sling and just hangs there. Praise the Lord, it doesn't hurt. She goes to dr. tomrrow to get out of sling and change the dressing to band-aids and then starts therapy either Thursday or Friday. The weather was foggy on the way down and rainy and foggy on the way home, but traffic was light and all went well. Marilyn's husband, Glen, is scheduled for colonoscopy on Friday. He was bleeding Sunday PM, and they had to wait for his blood thinner to get out of his system before they could do the procedure.
Thanks again for the prayers.
Praying for you and yours,

Pray for John Cole who was severely burned in a nursing home in Buna Texas.
2/15/08: Suellen came home at noon and with much effort climbed the stairway into the trailer. After that exertion she rested in the recliner and then went up to the restroom then rested up stairs in the bed. She is now taking a shower and is weak so I am going to close this and go help her. Love to all and thanks for all the prayers. Everything is going real good and progressing.

Pleae be in prayer for us as we are looking for property so that we can relocate. We have the equivalent of 2 city lots with streets on two sides and an alley on the third side, with essentially no parking facilities at all.
We have made some improvements to our present facility which was build in the late 1800's.
However, it is just not adequate to handle any future growth.
Thanks for the prayers.

From a friend
Our Soldier, Paul
Yes, Paul is home or rather back in Ft. Bragg, N.C. He was having a very bad time with nerves, ulcer, and some chest pains, so they finally decided to send him home. He flew in to Houston on Friday and I went down to visit him. Broke my heart, he has lost so much weight. His face is drawn and he is down to 170 from 200. He is 6'3" and you can imagine how skinny he looks. He told me the job was absolutely killing him. His boss in Ft. Worth couldn't believe they put him in a job he was not trained for, but that is the Military. Paul is in the Navy and the Army rules. O'well, I'm so thankful he is back. They are going to check him out and see about the weight loss. Needless to say, I am so worried about him.
I would like to ask that each of you stop right this minute and Pray for Paul. Pray he gets his health back. His eye site also has deteriorated to the point he can't see across the room. The doctors said this should return back to normal after rest.
Thanks for being my prayer partners and thanks for your deep prayer for Paul. Pray without stopping. Pray all day as you Think of Paul. He is such an outstanding young man. He was the soldier that wanted the Bibles to pass out to the soldiers. When we sent cookies or any goodies he shared with fellow soldiers, as they all do.

Prayer requet from a friend.
I feel kind of helpless. I went to court the other day and I do not know why I agreed for my son to see his mom without supervision..but I did not relly want to do that. I agreed in part because my lawyer told me that the judge may want to change the schedule in either format or that since my son has not seen his mom much that maybe she may get a schedule to see my son more.
The only problem is that she is ill. She has chronic deppression and is mentally unstable. ( we are awaiting the results for a psychiatric evaluation) The hours are not good, but since my lawyer said to go through with them, I did. I feel dumb.
I don't want to sound selfish, but this woman has literally has put our lives in danger and I allowed this shedule to happen. However, there is a clause in the re-scheduling. That if my son feels threatened or feels afraid or does not feel safe in anytime he just let us know and the schedule stops asap, without having to go to court again- until the final hearing on april 17th.
This past wednsday was his first day and it went very bad. However, my son still went through with it. She just about forced him to go, and he did not want to go. My wife witnessed it all. I told my lawyer he does not want to go back with her unsupervised, via email. I will call him hopefully he will give me good news.
I have always tried to give his mom a chance, but she is so extremely violent that we do not trust her at all.
The church she goes to, ..I am not sure if they realize the severity of this all.
She has just about left my son outside in the cold with no key. She has kicked him out of her house atleast 20 times during his life, she has punched him so many times that he could not sit or stand well for almost three days. She has spit, punshed, pushed, forced or stuffed food down my sons mouth, has blamed him for her actions, She has almost stuck him with a knife several times, she is extremely manipulative. To my home she has done everything that has been so violent she has had me, my wife and both of my children scared.
I don't want my son to go back after this past wednsday, but I cannot force my boy not to go. I told him
that I cannot trust that it is safe for him. Something that I had to do, because he heard me talking to my wife about a few incidents with his mom, where she threaten to kill me, my wife and our little child. That she almost tried to kill us......I am very tired, I know God is in control of life..but I need some prayer that we just win this case.
I know it sounds selfish, but I do not want to live in this area anymore. I need a long break. I want to even move near my brother.
I feel that if I don't win, that my son may not get a chance to see past 13. She is taking her medicine, but I cannot beleieve that it is for her chance to see her son. Rather that she is doing it to just for the courts. She has had 12 years to try and get better. I have really tried not to even push topics, tried to understand, my wife has been there to help, but ..she has not ever stuck to one counselor. ..I am not sure how sick she is. I know that God can heal people. However, she has been through alot..I know she has suffered many things.
But, we cannot suffer for her actions towards us anymore. I don't want my boy hurt anymore.
The other day my son confided to my wife an incident that he had hid from me. He was younger, and he said his mother beat him with her fists on his back so much that he could not stand or walk well. He said he took the pain and tried to hide it. He said he hid his the bruises from me my geting into his bed as quick as he could.
I cannot tell you how many times he has been beat and hurt and manipulated by her....I just need your prayers. I need prayers that she just back-off. That she stops fighting and she just lets me have sole custody. I am asking that she not get visitation rights. The reason is..we want to move far away from this. From her, from her physical presence. I realize that if i don't...we may be in danger. I also realize that we need a change in scenes. This has taken a tole on everyone. After we have tried to help her and get along with her and try, we gave up on trying to help her. It has been a hard task to understand her, especially when she is violent towards us. I know God doesn't want us to let ourselves be abused. Unless for namesake.
I just need some help, advice, prayer...I forgive her... I really do..I am not bitter or angry at her.
Not sure that I trust her..but even in me I still want to give her a chance...but for my wife sake and my litle child, I cannot give my life to helping her on the expense of being abusively attacked or even taking the chance that she may hurt my sons and wife in any way again......I prayed that God Bind her and her lawyer. That anyone helping her be bound and not be of use. I also prayed that we (my family, my Wife my two boys -Daniel and Eli, and myself) be free from her and that we not have to ever worry about her being near us, seeing us or we her. That she get a bad report on her psychiatric test. As a "unfit" mother. Causing her to not have any visitation rights.
It is what I have been praying. I can't lie..I wanted to work things out for her son and her..but it's not smart to do so. Or she will try and be forceful towards us all. And I just won't put myself and my family under that stress or danger anymore. It would not be not good or smart.
I am sorry if this is kind of out there..It's an emotional journey, and I have put myself in her shoes, but I cannot do that completely..simply because I cannot completely comprehend how ill she may be. How menatlly unstable she may be. That is something she will have to deal with. I cannot help that anymore, neither me or my wife or my children, we have done our best by praying and trying to listen to her for the last 12 and for my wife 5 years.
I am sorry for bothering you guys, but I feel distant from everything. I have not gone to church, we have not been able to. My wife speaks more spanish than english, and my son is used to another style of church. The churches are distant, that offer us the type of church we need. Even so, I have been trying to go to a local church here in my town. It's been really tough for me to also let my son have the freedom to be able to talk and communicate with his mom. Knowing that how she has been towards him.
please..keep me and my family in your prayers.

Howdy,
Adrienne was one of our youth while we were at Westside in Kokomo. We just received a phone message that she is in the hospital in Indy. She is diabetic and in a comma and in a life & death situation this evening.
Please be in prayer for her and her family. I had the privilege of baptizing her. I don't know that I ever met any other family member. She is a real sweet-heart.

Adrienne
This was taken in 2004.
Thanks for your prayers.

Pastor Kenn,
Kim Deardorff called yesterday morning and said that Adrienne is still hanging in there. They have reduced the respirator just a little bit, Praise God every little bit helps. And the dialysis is working, it will be a slow process. Kim and Thelma went down to see her last night but I haven't got a report back yet. I will let you know just as soon as I do. Praise God, Susan, Adrienne's mom ask Kim to come down last night to pray over Adrienne, she says "I really think it's working" GLORY!!!
I also have another prayer request. Dan Peace. He is going in this morning for a scope. He has cancer and they said it has spread into the esophagus. His wife Robyn is in need of special pray. She is trying to stay brave for him and her. I am not sure what time the scope is I just know it's this morning.
Thank you and God Bless!

Update on Adrienne
A special thanks to Heather for keeping us posted.
As I mentioned before Adrienne is a senior at Western H.S. and was a member of the youth group while we were at Westside.
Heather Bartrum is an awesome prayer partner.
====================================
Pastor Kenn,
I wanted to give you an AWESOME update on Adrienne. God, and Prayers are working. I talked with Kim yesterday and they had went down Thursday evening to pray with Adrienne, per request of her mother. Adrienne has had 2 bms (I know, but it is a praise), they are feeding her a milkshake like substance through her IV, so she's getting some nutrients. She is breathing a little more on her own, but still with the machine and they are slowly turning it down, baby steps. Her blood pressure is also staying stable. But this is the neat part, SHE MOVED. While Kim and Thelma were down there they said she moved her arm up towards Thelma, and she moved her leg. PRAISE GOD!!!!
I know that her family, especially Susan (her mom) appreciates all the prayers. Thank you, Aloha, and everyone you sent this out to for their prayers. God Bless all of you.
In Christ,
Heather

update on Adrienne,
received both of these 3/24/08. I don't know Marilyn, the two reports seem to confirm that she is improving.
Please continue the prayers,
Thanks,
Kenn
====================================
Pastor Kenn,
Please let everyone know that Adrienne is improving day by day. Kim and Brian went to see her Saturday and they said she is responding. She has a trach and the ventilator is still helping her breathe, but she is breathing more on her own. She is on dialysis,I believe Kim said daily, Friday they had taken about 7 or 8 lbs. of water off of her and Saturday about 6 or so. Please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers and Thank you.
Also if you would keep Dan and Robin Peace in your prayers. Dan has cancer and is not improving and Robin is having an awful time. Please pray that she will understand that no matter what God chooses, His plan is far better that ours, and that Dan will assure her.
Thanks again and God Bless.
In His Service,
Heather Bartrum

Hi All,
I have an update on Adrienne (the girl that went into a coma 3 weeks ago). I have some good news. She is awake and they had her sitting up for about a half hour last Thursday. She has a tracheotomy, but is also on the ventilator. Her kidneys still are not functioning and she is on dialysis. Some of her fluid is now being taken off. She still is in very serious condition. The doctors can't figure out why her kidneys aren't working yet. But she still needs our prayers very much.
I guess they had a benefit pizza party for her at Western High School. She has been in the hospital for 22 days now. Now her mother is coming home some and will need to go back to work. Her mom and her grandmother have been staying in a motel down in Indy until last Friday.
Thanks for all your prayers, I will keep you updated.

From our Pastors wife,
Thank you for your prayers on Tori's behalf. She seems to be getting better. She still has a constant cough, but all of her tests have come back fine. If the cough doesn't get better, I will take her back to the doctor. She seems to be slowly getting her appetite and energy back. Thanks again for your prayers.

Follow up on Adrienne;
I just had a report today 4/5/08 that Adrienne produced a little urine last Wed. This is good, showing signs that the kidneys aren't dead. When they were finally able to give her an entire dialysis treatment, the first one removed 10 pounds of fluids and the second one about 7 pounds. I am not sure when that was. They are keeping her heavily sedated and she is still on the respirator. Thanks for praying.
Praying for you and yours,
Kenn & Aloha

Latonia was in the youth group at our last church in Texas. It just dawned on me. I have been gone from that church for 10 years this fall.
I received this from Mary Miles this morning 4-20-08. She asked me to make sure that you knew about Emilee.
Praying for you and yours,
A & K
I just received a phone call from Latonia McSpadden a few minutes ago and her 3 year old daughter, Emilee, passed away yesterday. Emilee has had some bad health problems since she was around 6 months or so old. She would be in the hospital with pneumonia 2-3- or so times a year and her little body just gave out, she couldn't fight it anymore.
The funeral will be at Abundant Life, there on U.S. 190, her grandmother goes there, other than that, I know nothing about the funeral arrangements. her aunt will be handling them. PLEASE...if you will let others know so she can be sure noone has not heard, this is important to Latonia. Latonia is doing as well as can be expected, Please pray for her and her family as they go through this sad time in their lives.
Thank you all for your help and prayers.....Please know that you all are loved and appreciated.

Prayer reqest from a friend
I received this today 4/24/04. Alice is a prayer partner from Jasper, TX. Thanks for praying for Patrick and her.
Praying for you as I address this.
Kenn
I have a prayer request that is very heavy on my heart. Please pray for my son Patrick O'Neal who lives in Jasper and is a member at Hillcrest. He has a tooth abscessed so badly that he had to be taken to the emergency room tonight for IV antibiotics and Demerol. He has no insurance and money is very scarce (he buries cable and jobs have been inadequate lately and this week he couldn't work the ones he had). He really needs a job with pay sufficient to meet his obligations and with benefits. Patrick is very active in youth ministry at Hillcrest and really in anything else they need help with. He is divorced but is a devoted father to his 4 year old daughter. Thank you in advance for your prayers.
Blessings,
Alice Grimes

SHE IS IMPROVING!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep the prayers up!
I received this 5/3/08 from Hal Crane concerning his wife, Edythe.
Edythe fell at the beauty parlor Thursday night and broke her left humoral head on her left arm where it goes into her shoulder. She was taken to the hospital where they took x-rays and put her arm in a sling. They gave her a pain pill and a prescription for some more. We will be following up with an orthopedic surgeon on this coming Thursday. She is in a lot of pain and resists much movement in and out of bed. My male nurse duties conflicts with me being a 77 year old husband. Thanks for your continued prayers for her--and 'Mr.Mom/Nurse.
Edythe & Hal Crane
Please lift them up in your prayers. Thanks also for praying for our trustees last week. We are continuing to move forward. Still need more prayers as we tryto follow God's guidance.

Praise and prayer from our sister prayer Church.
3 things.
Mary (Fuller) Poe finally had her procedure this afternoon about 3:30. She was scheduled for 12:30. They did a heart cath and in the process the equipment opened up the blockages and everything was working well. They are sending her home tomorrow, Wed. It sure is wonderful when Dr. Jesus shows up and shows the doctors how to fix a problem. Thank you Jesus!!
Please be in prayer for Jerry Freeman as he and Mary go to Mooresville tomorrow morning to see a specialist to deal with his knee which he hurt when he fell.
Please be in prayer for the trustees as they meet in the morning with the seller of the property.

Request from a Friend
I received this from Liz this morning. She sent it to me shortly after midnight this AM 6-18-08. Sounds like they had a short night.. This picture was taken 2 years ago, Mark is as tall as Dad now.
Mark had surgery a couple of weeks ago to correct a birth-defect in a foot and ankle, required breaking an reattaching, etc. He was on some pain meds, then the dr. changed the medication and he had discomfort in his chest. Had a bunch of tests, couldn't find anything, called him back in for another round and ... (you are somewhat set up for the prayer request below.)
Please lift Mark and family up in your prayers.
Praying for you and yours,
A & K

Mark Underwood is in St. Joseph Hosp. as of Wed. evening. A blood clot
formed in his leg and has traveled to his lung. He is in room 246--bed
2 near window 456-5247. He has received an injection to dissolve the
clot, and probably will get a few more in the next couple days. He is
hooked up with a heart monitor also.

As I add your name to the address list, I am praying for you to realize a good surprise today for you and yours,

Prayer request from a friend
Well thanks for your prayers and == please keep praying. Every time we go to doctor there is more wrong with poor Bob.
Of course, his liver in severely damaged. Autoimmune hepatitis and chronic hept. But not contagious.
We went to Diagnostic Clinic and was also sent to A Rheumatoid Spec. in Houston. His R.A. is much worse and, if possible, he may have to go on injections.. Since Liver is bad and heart isn't too good either, this may be a problem.. We have apt. Friday, Aug 1st, in Tyler with his RA Spec. We're not above going back to Houston to that RA spec. either. Their techniques and meds seem more advanced...
Now: a letter from the Diagnostic Clinic:
Betty -- or some of you nurses can respond and tell me what all this means....
"The Stress Test reveals profusion defect in the left ventricle, of which only 3% is fixed. This usually means that in addition to some blockage, there exists scar tissue."
And of course, we will call Monday and get Diagnostic Clinic to refer us to Cardiologist. I am sure this means heart surgery....
Thanks for praying and keeping us in your thoughts.
Love Ya,
Linda
